Brief: Atlas on Density – Explore the idea of density in Salamanca (Madrid, Spain.)
.7.11 – We created a small compression installation in the street. People where able to physically experience (Compressed) or avoid (Decompressed) density.
.7.11 – We created a balloon installation to try and gauge people’s interest in different community issues in Salamanca.
.7.11 – We setup a street installation that was aiming to engage the passing public to pickup and move a balloon from one end of the line to the other so that it would slowly snake the area. Creating a sense of community.
.7.11 – We setup a street installation with the aim to engage the passing public. Previous attempts we felt had been too easy to ignore and pass by, so we took this attempt to the extreme, something that couldn’t be avoided.
.7.11 – Our final experiment forms part of our final presentation. The tutors (and students) become part of our project, experiencing compression as they enter our studio, balloons pop and disrupt their journey.
