Swings & Waves

Surround Sound Pendulums is a prototype interactive appliance designed for educational organisation Science Oxford. It aims to help encourage children and adults to learn and explore the scientific principles behind pendulums and sound waves. The appliance can be ‘played’ by setting off a series of different length pendulums, which strike bespoke drums, creating various sounds channeled through tubing to the ears.
