Theo Jones is an award-winning architect, interior designer and teacher based in London. He is the director of Fynn Architects, a practice specialising in sustainable architecture and interiors. He teaches as a founder of Green Mat Workshop.
For ten years, Theo has been designing and crafting low-energy renovations and extensions that touch lightly on the earth. He was awarded the 2019 RIBA Journal drawing prize and has held exhibitions with New London Architecture, The Bartlett, and the RIBA.
As architects in Islington, Fynn combines heritage, aesthetics, functionality, and sustainability to deliver thoughtful, high-quality design. Fynn provides architectural services covering all RIBA stages, from securing planning permission to technical design and project management.
Green Mat Workshop specialises in teaching architectural model making, visualisation, software, and portfolio development. Their experienced team provides university workshops and online courses for an expanding community of student designers.
Theo’s practice-based research considers sustainable materials, low-carbon construction and digital fabrication; seeking scalable solutions for widespread retrofit across the UK. His academic research interests include architectures in the context of the internet, identity, and borders.
His work has been featured by Open House London, the Association of Architectural Educators, Design Boom, Bustler, and the RIBA Journal. Theo has lectured at the Royal Academy of Arts, the London Festival of Architecture, and numerous universities across the UK. He studied architecture at Oxford Brookes University and The Bartlett School of Architecture.
